I have 23 years of industry experience and a dangerous perspective into the inner workings of most businesses. I have a knack and an intuition that I’ve developed where I can talk to just about anyone, find a connection, identify a need and follow it up with a solution. Coming from The Chronicle of Higher Education newspaper in Washington, DC, I am currently the Office Manager & Executive Assistant to the CEO at Proactive Resources. A native of Virginia, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, with a concentration in desktop publishing. I have also completed two years of graduate coursework at The University of Baltimore, under its Publications Design program and during that time was also a contributing writer & news editor for the school’s student newspaper, The UB Post.

I moved to this area desiring a change of pace, to see a different part of the country and to live in beautiful New England. I currently reside in the historic west end neighborhood and enjoy traveling, cooking, computers & photography.

I grew up in my dad’s business. Not only did I work there after school, but I observed how he ran his business and how he treated his customers. He was successful and so was his business.

After 19 years in marketing and education, as a teacher and a director, I decided to branch out into writing. I enjoy talking to and interviewing business owners. I like to highlight their uniqueness and what separates them from their competition. Most business owners are receptive to this form of marketing and communication. PR Inc. looks at company strengths and how they effect the community. We reach an educated audience who is aware and ready to spend their money where they are well treated. I began at Proactive Resources in September 2004 and bring more than 20 years combined experience in Medical/Social Services & Sales. I’m a graduate of UConn with a Masters degree in Social Work. This enables me to interact comfortably with legal, medical & business professionals. During brief interviews with various CEO’s, managing partners and business owners, I glean detailed information about the particulars of their capabilities and then help them market themselves, making their business image consistent with their client demographic.

Everything from marketing, advertising, editing and publishing to direct sales with professionals that are tops in their respective fields makes Proactive Resources an exciting place to be.
