Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women in the US will get breast cancer at some point. Many women in CT over age of forty have never had a screening mammogram. Early detection leads to higher survivor rates by detecting breast cancer in its early, treatable stages.
Following the recommendations of the American College of Radiology and the State of CT, TOLLAND IMAGING CENTER recommends woman should obtain a baseline digital mammogram between ages of 35-39. Women over 40 should have a screening mammogram annually. Serving Tolland County and beyond, the Center is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, meeting all state and federal standards. Your exam will be quickly and safely performed by a licensed and dedicated technologist, and interpreted by a Board Certified Radiologist. Accredited by the American College of Radiology, Tolland Imaging is a full-service imaging center, performing multislice CT scans, ultrasound/doppler, open MRI, bone densitometry and general radiographic procedures.
