THE ADULT AND JUVENILE FEMALE OFFENDERS CONFERENCE is coming to Hartford, CT on October 13-15, 2015. The AJFO program addresses issues specific to women & girls during incarceration and reentry into the community including: pregnancy, motherhood, childcare, financial stability, human trafficking & domestic violence. Attendees include state & federal correctional professionals, nonprofits, probation & parole officers, law & court officials, advocates, women & girls who were previously incarcerated, experts, students & researchers on gender, prison, reentry, incarceration & criminal justice from the US, Canada and other countries.
The Connecticut Women’s Consortium received support from the Department of Correction, Department of Children and Families, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Department of Public Health, and Court Support Services Division.
